Sweet Surprise

February 13, 2014
It was a dark and dreary day as I waited on the floor in front of my discussion section to start that morning. So of course when I saw this message pop up on my phone, I instantly perked up. Thank you for this sweet message, it honestly made my day! ^_^

BrandBacker: Soxxy Air - Support A Cause Support Your Legs!

I have always supported doing good in the world and helping out the community. This particular campaign was definitely up my alley, because it combined two of my passions: Helping out others and fashion. SoxxyAir, by Sarah Stabile (an aviation specialist), aims to increase circulation, reduce jet lag, swelling in your ankles, muscle soreness, and decrease the risk of deep vein thrombosis. Socks by SoxxyAir are made of breathable, comfortable micro nylon fabric and is great for those traveling, working, or exercising. SoxxyAir's goal is to increase circulation and keep feet feeling comfortable.

Sarah Stabile has partnered with five charities so that purchases from SoxxyAir give back. The charity sox will be pre-sold on (the link can be found at the bottom of this post) and shipped by Spring 2014.

Let the Battle Begin

Last day of lectures, three finals, one essay, and one week is in between me and spring break sweetness. Let the battle begin. And if you see me around, don't be alarmed by my face. My eye bags naturally droop that low. For those who are battling their own fights, whether academic, emotional, physical, or spiritual, I wish you all the best of luck and good vibes.

Today is just a day full of wonderful, much-needed surprises. First time winning anything ever (more on that next week), enjoying the sunny weather, having downtime to work on my paper, chatting it up with a classmate, bumping into a wonderful friend during passing period, and getting one of the few full score for my extra credit assignment. Yes, today was full of blessings in disguise, although small, still brightened up my day.

Never have I found the importance of self-importance to be so relevant in my life until these past couple of months. And how I crave more opportunities and media to do so. Oh, how it fills my soul and brings me indescribable joy to express myself when no words can. How blessed I am for these opportunities.
